DIY NECKLACE

Ahí va mi primer proyecto DIY , supongo que la mayoria de la gente sabe lo que es pero para los que no lo hayan visto nunca , DIY viene del inglés Do It Yourself que significa hazlo tu mismo y es una práctica que está muy de moda.

Here it goes my first DIY project, I suppose you all know what a DIY is , but to make it sure... it comes from Do It Yourself and is very common nowadays.

Este era el collar pero no me convencia mucho y decidí cambiarlo un poco por eso en algunas fotos no coinciden los colores, lo haré mejor la próxima vez U_U'

This was the original necklace but  I didn't like it very much so I decided to change it a bit so that's why in some photos the colours don't match , I'll do it better next time U_U'

NECESITAS / YOU NEED

• Pegamento / Glue
• Cadena / Chain
• Tenazas / Pliers
• Madejas de Hilo / Embroidery thread
• Hilo / Thread
• Aguja / Needle
• Un botón / A button
• Hilo de cuero / Leather thread
• Vivo al biés / Sorry,I don't know it name in english

Coser la cadena dejando un trozo en los extremos

 Sew the chain leaving a bit of space in the ends

Doblar la tela hacia atrás y cortar la parte sobrante

 Turn the fabric backward and cut the excess

Coser con hilo negro, podeis coserlo de forma que no se vean los flecos de la tela , o pegarlo con pegamento pero a mí me gusta el efecto "mal hecho" que se ve en la foto

Sew it with black thread, you can sew it in a more clean way or glue it but I like the "dirty" effect that you see in the photo

Doblar el hilo de la madeja en cuatro y hacer un nudo en cada eslabón, para hacerlo más fácil pegar un trozo de celo en el extremo del hilo

Fold the embroidery thread in four and make a knot in every chain link, for make it easier put a bit of tape in the end of the thread

 

 Poner hilo de cuero en la parte central como se ve en la foto

Put leather thread in the center just like we can see in the photo

Repetir la misma operación pero con el hilo doblado sólo por la mitad

Do the same but fold the thread only in two

Pintar el botón con esmalte rosa (opcional) , pasarlo por el extremo y pegarlo

Paint the button with pink nail polish (optional), insert it in the end and secure it with glue

En el otro extremo cortar un trozo de  hilo de cuero y hacer un ojal y asegurarlo con hilo y pegamento

In the other end, with a piece of leather thread make a buttonhole and secure it with thread and glue

Cubrir con el hilo sobrante y un poquito de pegamento

Cover it with the remaining thread and a bit of glue

 Y tachan!!

And ta-daaaa!!
